  A new article by Montagnier et al about the electromagnetic signals associated with genomic DNA of pathogenic bacteria. It's interesting to note the first two references are to papers by Jacques Benveniste (now deceased.)  In looking up the history of Montagnier - credited with discovering the HIV virus and awarded the Nobel prize for it , I came across the following paragraph: 'In 2009, Luc Montagnier became involved in a legal battle with inventor Bruno Robert over the intellectual property rights to a technique to pinpoint the electronic signatures of diseases such as the Aids virus, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.* The hope is that once identified, the diseases can be blocked or neutralized with an opposite electromagnetic signal.'  One could hypothesize this is possibly what homeopathic potencies present - opposing* similar* electromagnetic signals. However you will note in the article reference to the relatively short time scale the nanostructures can seem to exist for. This phenomenon has been used before to question the apparent duration of activity of potentized medicines.

Proving to Take Place

Dear friends,

I am about to begin another proving. I hope you will join me in this exciting adventure. Being part of a proving is a great way to learn homeopathy, and to get continuing education credits as well.

My provings are included in Encylcopedia Homeopathica and Referenceworks, and Repertorium Universalis, Synthesis and ISIS repertories. If you would like to participate, either as a prover or supervisor, please write back as soon as possible. I have created very easy to follow instructions and forms for use.

If you are a homeopath, perhaps you have a patient who may be interested in learning more about homeopathy in this manner. If you are a student of homeopathy, maybe your homeopath would like to act as supervisor. Or maybe you and a colleague would like to undertake this exciting project together. I provide provers and guidelines and supervisor guidelines, and check in with the pair weekly, or as needed.

Here is what is involved.

• Provers will be paired up with supervisors.
• You will be sent complete instructions on keeping the prover and supervisor notebooks.
• Provers will fill out a brief intake form.
• Prover and supervisor will meet or phone daily for the first week or two, then weekly, until symptoms stop appearing.
• The prover will record daily notes in the journal concerning any physical or emotional changes that come up.
• *Because of the timeframe, we are asking that you fax or email your proving notebook notes weekly, and not wait until the end of the proving.  You will be paid for your participation after 30 days.*
• Notebooks will be sent after 30 days. If new symptoms appear after this time, they will be recorded and forwarded to me also.

A proving is a great way to learn materia medica and to better understand the formative influences of our medicine and our science. I hope you will join us.

Melanie Grimes has published numerous provings: Tiger shark liver (Galeocerdo cuvier hepar), Allende Meteorite (Fax caliestes allende) and Tule Bluet Dragonfly (Enallagma carunculatum), Blue green algae (Microcystic aeruginosa), Wollemi Pine (Wolle), Melatonin.

She worked with Jeremy Sherr, editing his provings for three years.  She collated and edited the provings in Dynamic Provings vol.1, and is the editor of the second edition of Dynamics and Methodology of Homeopathic Provings.  Also, under her own imprint, Alethea Book Company, she published Anne Schadde's Ozone Proving, and Tiger Shark: A Homeopathic Proving.

Her provings have been published in American Homeopath, Simillimum,  Homeopathy Today (USA), Links (Holland) and The Homeopath (UK).

She has presented her provings at homeopathic conferences internationally. The provings are included in Radar, Synthesis, MacRepertory, the Complete Repertory, Encyclopedia Homeopathica, Referenceworks, and ISIS.
